Sarvadharmaan Parityajya...

Svadharma and Sarvadharama.

In the Bhagavad Gita Lord gives two cryptic sayings. Very thought provoking they are.

1. Svadharme Nidhanam Sreyah Para Dharamo Bhayavahah

It is better to leave the body performing once one Dharma(path of Liberation) than to seek non-self dharama, for the non-self Dharma is dreadful.

From the above it appears there is one way for each of the creations to follow that will lead to the goal. If that being so there shall be myriads of Dharma.

Is it really so ?

Again you find one more saying from the Lord :

Saravadharman Parityajya Mama ekam Saranam vraja.
Leave aside all the Dharama and Surrender unto Me.
This is one step ahead.

Seek Him who needs to be sought.

Not just that-but leaving aside all Dharma(of the self).

Not just that-but that seeking through surrendering unto Him.

So when we seek Him through His path there are no svadharama or paradharama but one and the only one-that is His way !!
